Excitement is building to the Massachusetts State Middle School Science & Engineering Fair, now just two days away! A record student turnout is expected at Worcester Technical High School on Saturday, and the caliber of projects looks to be higher than ever.
Two outstanding exhibitors, Ella King and Allison Wolfe, have already received considerable media attention for their science fair project. A recent article in the Berkshire Eagle mentions Ella and Allison’s research which involved analyzing plant pigments using paper chromatography. The pair won the Region I Genzyme Award — the top prize at the fair. Ella and Allison also got some ink and made the airwaves on WAMC, Northeast Public Radio.
Good luck to these impressive students and to all of the exhibitors headed to the Middle School Fair on Saturday!
The fair will be open to the public from 11:30 until 1:30 on Saturday, June 1 at Worcester Technical High School. Don’t miss this opportunity to see the incredible work on display by some of Massachusetts’ brightest middle school students.
